2022 Primary Election - Notice of Election

OFFICIAL NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION
TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2022
POLLS OPEN 7:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE ELIGIBLE VOTERS OF ADAIR COUNTY, IOWA, THAT THE PRIMARY ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2022


The polls for said election will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Voters must vote in their precinct of residence.  Please read this notice carefully to determine your correct voting location.  If you are unsure of your voting precinct for this election, please contact the Adair County Auditor & Commissioner of Elections at (641) 743-2546 or by e-mail auditor@adaircountyiowa.org.  You may also verify the voting location for your home address at: https://sos.iowa.gov/elections/voterreg/pollingplace/search.aspx.  Precinct maps and boundary descriptions are available online at https://www.adaircounty.iowa.gov/auditor/voting_precincts/.
The precinct polling places and addresses for this election are as follows:

District 1NW – Adair City Hall, 320 Audubon St, Adair IA
District 2NE – Stuart Recreational Center, 323 SW 2nd St, Stuart IA
District 3SW – Fontanelle Community Building, 224 3rd St, Fontanelle IA
District 4SE – Orient United Methodist Church, 124 S Maple St, Orient IA
District 5GF – Adair County Health & Fitness Center, 202 N Townline Rd, Greenfield IA

All polling places for this election are handicapped accessible, however, any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle.  For further information, please contact the county auditor’s office at the following telephone number or e-mail address:

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on election day – and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) 1) may have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the county auditor’s office by 12:00 p.m. (noon), June 14, 2022. Election Day Registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification. A public test of the election equipment will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Adair County Courthouse.
