Adair County Comprehensive Plan Update Community Survey

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RuralAdairCountySurvey

The Adair County Board of Supervisors has authorized the preparation of a new twenty-year comprehensive plan for the county, which will address future land use and development planning for the rural area of Adair County.  This project is a partnership between the County and the Southern Iowa Council of Governments, which is the consultant hired to facilitate the planning process and prepare the document for Board approval.  This public opinion survey seeks public input on issues surrounding planning and development in the county, focused on the rural part of the county.

We seek participation from anyone interested in the county.  Participants do not need to live in the rural area or own a business or farm in that area.  We seek feedback from a wide range of people and perspectives.

The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.  If you receive more than one invite, please only fill it out one time.  The survey will be available in print and online versions.  Please complete either paper or online, not both.  Your name and identity are not required, and results will remain anonymous.

Note: Anywhere that “rural” is used in this survey, it is describing outside of a city limits.

The survey will close September 30, 2025.

Paper copies of the survey can be found in the Adair County Auditor's Office, 400 Public Square Ste. 5, Greenfield, Iowa 50849.
